Cycling Clubs in Hart

The cycling clubs listed below provide local cycling group rides for beginners to elite level cyclists. It is great to have this range of ability and interest in our local towns!

Informal Easy-going Rides every Friday from Fleet (no website)

Every Friday morning starting at 09.30 from the forecourt of 127 Crookham Road, Church Crookham, GU51 5SA. All are welcome on any type of bike and the cycle rides cater for all ages and families. The rides will be mostly on roads but only minor roads and avoiding traffic as much as possible. Instruction about cycling in a group will be given if anyone is not sure about cycling with others. The group size is about 10 cyclists.

Gearly Beloved rides from Fleet

This is a group for novice/intermediate cyclists who want to get together for informal cycle rides round the local country lanes of Fleet and the surrounding Hampshire area. This is not a cycle club and is intended for those who would like to cycle as part of a group but are put off by elitist and competitive cycle clubs.

Rides are held on Sunday mornings and will be 40-50km’s (1.5-2hrs in duration), so the intention is to work up a bit of a sweat but there’ll be no leader boards or time trials! The group has also started cycling on Saturday mornings with a slightly faster ride of about 40-50km’s. All are welcome and there are no subscription fees.

Please request to join the group, via their Facebook Group, to find out more about meeting points for each weekly ride and intended routes. Further details will be posted on the Gearly Beloved Facebook page.

Odiham Cycling Club

Next Door Café in the High Street is the meeting point and choice made by cyclist members for a popular coffee stop in the heart of Odiham.
It just didn’t seem right that Odiham didn’t have its own cycling club, so here it is! No need to go out doing those long cycling routes on your own any more. If you’re one of those weekend cycling fans who is always looking to go out cycling with others rather than on your own, then it may be time to join the Odiham Cycling Club.

Dassi Bikes – – based in Hart

Dassi, which designs and assembles carbon bikes in the UK was the brain child of aerospace engineer Stuart Abbott who says the new DRC Limited II bike has been two years in the making with aerodynamics being the mainstay of the frame’s design.

Dassi’s TT bike is said to be fully customisable, with each customer receiving a bike fit and the option to pick components, colour and decals which Stuart hopes enables his customers a completely unique and ‘pro’ style experience when buying a bike from Dassi.
